Why become a member of ASIL?
Since 2009, ASIL has been a place of connection for more than 30 Slovak book, editorial, scientific, and comic illustrators. With their membership they can make use of following assets:
Counselling
Both the imaginative world of creative artists and the business world of clients is usually governed by a different set of rules. What ASIL offers to its members is the counselling in pricing, author's agreements, and economics. ASIL also organises PIKTO conferences with lectures on everyday troubles of illustrators, where they can talk with people from business, design, marketing, or law counselling.
Publicity
Members of ASIL are offered a publicity in exhibitions, a promotion on book festivals and Facebook. Many Slovak and foreign publishers visit ASIL in search for an illustrator. The website itself offers a quality SEO for finding out an author on the internet.
Portfolio
An indispensable part of ASIL membership is an online portfolio with a compendious illustration gallery and structured information about an author. This is also a place for the author's best work and articles. Searching in portfolios is made quick and intuitive with key words and their design is mobile and tablet optimised for comfort viewing.
Discounts
The ASIL members have discounts on the entry to PIKTO conference or on law and economic counsel as far as the author's agreement and enterprise are concerned.
What ASIL offered me was a portfolio on a place, where publishers gather and actively work together with great people. I am really glad for both.

Registration
If you are interested, we would gladly review the quality of your work and publish your presentation. For your registration we need:
- At least 12 digital reproductions of your illustrations with resolution of 800 × 800 points
- Your profile picture
- A professional curriculum vitae typed in english with contact information and your studies, illustrated books, work for publishers, awards, exhibitions etc. listed in chronological order from most recent
- A link to your website or online portfolio, if you have any
